Abdul Fatawu Issahaku Clinches Creative Moment of the Month Award A Moment of Brilliance Ipswich Town winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been honored with September’s Premier League Creative Moment of the Month award for a dazzling display of skill against Everton. The Ghanaian international captivated fans and experts alike with a stunning double nutmeg followed by a near goal from inside his own half. The Unforgettable Sequence During the match against Everton, Fatawu seized an opportunity from a loose pass. With remarkable poise and precision, he executed two successive nutmegs, first slipping the ball through the legs of Vitalii Mykolenko and then James Garner. Capitalizing on the moment, he launched an audacious long-range shot that forced Everton's goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, to deflect it wide. Recognition and Acclaim This extraordinary feat was selected as the best creative moment of September, decided by a combination of fan votes and an expert panel. It marks Fatawu's inaugural Creative Moment of the Month award, making him the seventh player to receive this accolade since its inception in January 2026. A Nod to the Past Fatawu's remarkable effort evoked memories of a similar spectacular goal he scored while playing for Leicester City against Ipswich in December 2025. Seven months after that memorable goal, he transitioned from Leicester to Ipswich, continuing to build his reputation with memorable displays of individual skill. Outshining the Competition In securing September's award, Fatawu outperformed notable competitors such as Martin Zubimendi, Emiliano Buendia, Joao Pedro, and Liam Delap. His accomplishment also marks a significant milestone for Ipswich Town, as he becomes the first player from the club to win a monthly Premier League prize since Jens Cajuste in March 2025. The recognition of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s creative prowess not only celebrates his individual talent but also highlights the thrilling and unpredictable nature of the Premier League.
